When people think of analog and digital, they usually think about clocks. When analog signals are played, the signals will play in their original form, and when digital signals are played, the 1s and 0s are converted into a voltage wave that sounds close to the original signal.

Now this difference between analog and digital might push you in the opposite direction and prompt you to think that digital is way better than analog, but digital comes with its disadvantages as well. Digital cant exactly duplicate the original signal because the 1s and 0s are constantly rearranging. Digital is also more expensive than analog, but since digital is taking over a lot of technology, itll become cheaper as it becomes more of the norm.
You should take the difference between analog and digital into account depending on what kind of technology youre using. Digital is probably better for cell phones because more signals can transfer in a single area, providing better coverage even if the sound isnt as good as it would be for analog. If youre using home phone, analog is better because there will be better sound quality and you dont need as much range. Analog and digital both have their pros and cons, and which one you should choose depends on the context of its use.
