You may think that singing about fruit salad or crossing the street does not make a good song, your child is going to disagree. I know that my daughter loves to eat fruit salad because the Wiggles sang about it in a few of their children songs. They didnt tell her to do it, they just showed how much they enjoyed it. From that, she picked up a very healthy habit.

In the past, children songs have been very simple melodically. Though there is nothing wrong with that, adults find that they can actually tolerate, if not enjoy, these songs for children so much more if the music is intricate and catchy. You dont have to have a simple melody with no additional instruments to make good songs for kids. You just have to pay attention to the words, and the rest can be anything you want. When you think about getting some children songs for your kids, find some you can live with and that send good messages as well as being a lot of fun.
