The leaves change colors starting in late September to early October (depending on some climate factors) and this is when you should try to go. You will see brilliant shades of orange, red, yellows, and other in-between shades that are going to be magnificent. You do not have to be a nature lover to enjoy vacations in New England. Surprisingly, there are some great beaches there that are not going to be nearly as crowded as the ones you may go to in more popular areas. They offer the same surf and sun as any other beach. You can also walk through miles of American history in Boston and other great historical cities. You can find just about any urban delight like fine dining and great shopping that you would find anywhere else in the country as well. New England is much more than you have thought and can be the site of a vacation to remember.
